Since the relay contains an electromagnet, it can be used as a pickup or as a device that generates magnetism like a loudspeaker.
Relays for use as pickups seem to be those with the higher rating voltage, like 220V, while relays for use as loudspeakers seem to be those with the lower rating voltage (ex 6V).
